Pocomoke River State Forest and Park
Come visit Pocomoke River State Park located along the banks of the wild and scenic Pocomoke River in Worcester County, Maryland, to not only experience the wonders of a bald cypress swamp and the tranquility of one of the Eastern Shores premier tidal rivers, but also to experience some of the best fishing in the area! Enjoy paddling on the scenic Pocomoke River and camping, fishing or boating at either Shad Landing or Milburn Landing.
Smallwood State Park
Located just an hour south of Washington, D.C., Smallwood State Park's 650 acres and waterfront offer visitors great outdoor opportunities. The park is known for its tremendous fishing (large and smallmouth bass, catfish, white and yellow perch, carp and hardhead) on Mattawoman Creek, a pristine tributary to the nearby Potomac River. Visitors also enjoy camping, scenic trails and discovering the historic 17th century home of General William Smallwood, the park's namesake.
Janes Island State Park
Grab your paddle and head out on some of the most beautiful water trails around! Towering loblolly pines shade a beautiful campground on the water, as well as four cabins, and a 16-bed center for family events and corporate outings. Whether you are looking for a few hours of tranquil paddling, a full-day expedition and overnight experience, or some incredible fishing and crabbing, you'll find it at Janes Island State Park! More than 30 miles of water trails stream through this Chesapeake Bay salt marsh wonderland, creating a natural paradise with few signs of civilization.

Maryland Park Pass

Maryland State Park Passport
The Maryland State Park Passport is a great value at $75 for Maryland residents or for $100 for out-of-state residents. You can purchase the 2010 Passport on-line through this website.
The pass offers: unlimited day-use entry for everyone in the vehicle (up to 10 people) to Maryland's state parks and Cedarville State Forest; unlimited boat launching at most facilities; and a 10 percent discount on state-operated concessions and boat rentals. For parks with honor box systems, the pass covers entry service charges. The 2010 Passport expires December 31, 2010.
