SERVICE CHARGES:
In addition to the Shelter service charge, there is a service charge to enter the park on weekends.
Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day $2 per person in state residents $4 per person out of state residents, optimal snow weekends $3 in state residents $5 out of state residents. Service charges will be collected at the entrance gate.
Senior citizens 62 and older with MD Golden Age Pass are free. Golden Age Pass requires a $10 fee and can be obtained at the Ranger Station. Information available at: http://dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/goldenage.asp
ALCOHOL POLICY:
The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins, motorhomes, and designated shelters. Permits may be issued upon request by the Park Manager for special events operating under a use agreement.
Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 non-refundable fee will be charged for each alcohol permit. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer.
Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation.

NO PETS:
Pets are not permitted within the Shelters.

WILDLIFE:
The forest land around the park is home to black bears. Please keep all food in your vehicle and dispose of trash promptly.
FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.

RATES:
The Shelter service charge is $36.75 from April 1 - November 30. Shelter closed December through March.
TRASH FREE:
All trash must be packed out - Reduce/Reuse/Recycle. Bring own garbage bags.
PARK HOURS:
The Park is open until Sunset.

Prices are subject to change without notice.
