Upcoming Renovation Projects:
Pocomoke River State Park is pleased to inform you that Shad Landing will be undergoing significant renovation projects starting July 2014 and running through June 2016. We will be constructing a new boat house, adding a splash pad at the pool, and remodeling 4 bathhouses. Additionally, we will be constructing new camper cabins at Milburn Landing and Shad Landing. During this process many Shad Landing campsites will be closed or available on a first come first served basis with limited services within the loop. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes but we are sure you will enjoy using our updated facilities once finished. If you have specific questions about available service please contact the park office at 410-632-2566.

POOL (Shad Landing):
Entrance fee is $4 per person for campers; $6 per person for day-use; and $3 per person youth group with pool reservation.
The pool operators from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Reduced hours during off-peak times in early June and late August.
Pool operates Wednesday through Monday (closed Tuesday) mid-June through mid-August, Contact Park for pool hours: 410-632-2566, Ext. 109.
Quiet time will be maintained in the campground area from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
GOLDEN AGE PASS:
Persons 62 years of age and older with Maryland Park Service Golden Age Pass are entitled to half-price camping, Sunday - Thursday, excluding Holidays. Display of Golden Age Pass will be required upon check-in. Additional service charges will be applied if unable to provide proof of valid pass. Golden Age Pass holder must be an occupant on the site for the entire reservation. Golden Age Pass requires a $10 fee. DAMAGE TO STATE PROPERTY:
All registered campers will be held responsible for any damage to state property that occurs during the time of your stay. Damage includes destruction and defacement resulting from both willful actions (vandalism) and the misuse or overuse of facilities. Damage charges will be assessed accordingly to the degree of damage. Do not tie or stake hammocks to trees.
The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in the park with the exception of interior areas of motorhomes. Additional Alcohol Policy Information can be found at:
MINI CABIN AMENITIES:
One room cabin sleeps four persons with one double bed and one bunk bed. Cabins for persons with disabilities have two bunk beds. Cabin has electricity, light, ceiling fan, air conditioning. Indoor table & chairs. Open air porch and porch swing. All cooking must be done outdoors. No Linens are provided. Occupants share water spigots and a centrally located bathhouse with other campers.
MINI CABIN OCCUPANCY:
Cabins sleep 4 comfortably. At least one person must be 18 years or older in each cabin. No more than 6 persons may stay in a single cabin.
No tents or campers are permitted at the Cabin sites. Screen rooms are allowed and must be set up on the camp pad. A maximum of two vehicles is permitted. Overflow parking is available outside the camp loop. Vehicles must be parked on the site driveway.
Camping permits may be revoked and campers may be evicted for violation of park rules and regulations.
Shad Landing campers must register at the Camp Store between the hours of 3:00 pm and before 9:30 pm. All equipment must be set up by 10:00 pm. Park Gates close at 10:00p.m. No unregistered guest or unregistered camper will be permitted in the campground after 10:00 pm; you will not be permitted to check in until the following morning beginning at 8:00 am. Self-registration is in effect when the Camp Store is closed. The self-registration kiosk is located at the entrance to the camp store.

All prices are subject to change without notice and reservation fees, as well as cancellation fees are non-refundable.
Due to the threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has prohibited bringing non-local firewood into all state parks. Please do not bring firewood with you when visiting a DNR property. Firewood may be collected or purchased at the park.

There is a two night minimum stay (Friday/Saturday) and a three night minimum holiday weekend stay (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
