July 6,7 and October 12,13, 2013, a Triathlon will be held at Smallwood State Park. This is an all day event in the park and launching of boats will not be permitted on these dates due to the Triathlon.
GOLDEN AGE PASS:
Persons 62 years of age and older with Maryland Park Service Golden Age Pass are entitled to half-price camping Sunday-Thursday, excluding holidays. Display of Golden Age Pass will be required upon check-in. Additional service charges will be applied is unable to provide proof of valid pass. Golden Age Pass requires a $10 fee. ALCOHOL POLICY:
The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in the campground with the exception of interior areas of motorhomes.

VEHICLES:
Two vehicles are permitted at each cabin. Trucks, cars, and trailers each count as a vehicle. Additional vehicles must be parked in one of the campground overflow lots.
BOAT LAUNCH:
The cabin rental charge covers the launching of only one boat per cabin per day. Arrivals prior to check in time are subject to the daily boat launch charge.
COMFORT STATIONS:
There is a central bath house. Cabins do not have their own bathroom.
SERVICE CHARGES:
Cabin guests are required to pay the applicable service charges to enter the park. The park service charge is $3 per vehicle during the week year-round; and $3 per person on weekends and holidays from April through October. Out of state visitors add $2 to these charges.
PETS:
Pets are not permitted in or around the camper cabins.
LINENS:
Linens are NOT provided - you must provide your own linens.
SWIMMING:
Swimming is NOT permitted at Smallwood State Park.

PRICING:
Prices are subject to change without notice and reservation fees, as well as cancellation fees are non-refundable.
TRASH FREE:
Maryland State Parks are 'Trash Free'. All trash generated by a group must be taken out by the group. Please bring sufficient large trash bags to accommodate the groups trash.
CHECK IN/OUT:
Check in time is 3:00 pm. Check out time is 12:00 noon.
MINIMUM STAY:
There is a two night minimum weekend stay (Friday/Saturday) and a three night minimum stay on holiday weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.
CAMP FIRES:
Camp fires are permitted only in the fire ring provided. Fires must NOT be left unattended.
RULE VIOLATIONS:
Any permit may be cancelled & any person or group may be required to leave the park for violation of park rules and regulations.
QUIET HOURS:
Quiet hours in the campground are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am.
ARRIVAL AND SETUP:
The security gate closes at Sunset. All campers are advised to arrive prior to Sunset. Registration and/or set up is not permitted during quiet hours (10:00 pm until 7:00 am). The gate combination will be provided after the reservation has been made. Internet reservations, please call the Reservation Call Center at 1-888-432-2267 to receive the gate combination.
FIREWOOD RESTRICTION:
Due to the potential threat of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has prohibited the importation of personal firewood into all DNR owned and managed properties. Please do not bring firewood with you from home when visiting a DNR property.
