PET FRIENDLY CAMPING:
FOR 2015: Pets are only permitted on the following sites: all sites in H- Loop, designated sites in I-Loop sites 36-51 only, and all sites J-Loop. Pet campers are required to have pets licensed and bring proof of vaccinations with them. If you arrive with a pet on a non-designated site, you may not be able to register for your site and will have to make alternate arrangements for your pet.
FOR 2016 ONLY: Beginning April 27, 2016, pets will also be allowed on all I-Loop campsites and adjacent beach along with all sites in Loop H and Loop J. Please remember that this affects reservations made for the 2016 camping season.
2015-2016 BATHHOUSE RENOVATION :
(Update: 5/23/15) Phase II Bathhouse Renovation is expected to begin on or around Oct 1, 2015 - June 30, 2016. Bathhouses #6-9 will be closed for scheduled renovations. Loop G and sites 1-35 and 73-110 in Loop I will not be available for reservations. Camping Loops H, J, and pet-friendly sites 36-72 in I-Loop will remain open for reservations with portable toilets available in these loops. Access to full service restrooms will be in Bathhouses 1-5 located in Loops A- F.
2015 Reservation/Transaction Fees:
In addition to the park facility use fee, there is a nightly reservation/transaction fee. Internet reservations, the per night fee is $4.56. Call Center, the per night fee is $4.61. Walk-In transactions at the park, the per night fee is $4.51. Reservation/Transaction Fees are Non-Refundable.

Assateague State Park, Maryland's only ocean park is located on Assateague Island, a barrier island bordered on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the west by Sinepuxent Bay. Two miles of ocean beaches make this park popular for camping, swimming, beachcombing, sunbathing, surfing and fishing. The island's bay side offers canoeing and kayaking in secluded coves and marsh areas with unbelievable wildlife viewing opportunities. The Assateague wild ponies are among the favorite inhabitants of the island, as well as, sika deer.

Youth Group Camping Reservations:
Youth Groups must call Maryland Reservation Call Center at 1-888-432-2267 to reserve Youth Group Sites. A valid Maryland DNR Youth Group Pass is required to reserve a designated Youth Group site.
OFFICE HOURS 2015:
CHECK IN BEGINS AT 2 P.M. No camper is allowed to check-in prior to that time. You must register during office hours, no late arrival permitted. No camper or visitor may enter without first checking in at Ranger Station.
